Become a Laboratory Society Member
Are you interested in promoting the clinical laboratory profession to the public? Would you like to get involved in advocacy efforts that support the laboratory's essential role in providing quality medical care? Do you believe clinical laboratory students should be supported by their peers in their efforts to become part of the clinical lab team?
If you asnwered 'yes' to any of these questions, then becoming a member of a professional clinical laboratory society is for you. Membership in a lab society provides medical technologists, technicians and lab managers with opportunities to accomplish all of these goals and can often mean the difference between 'having a job in the lab' and being a "laboratory professional".
The Northeast Laboratory Conference Organizing Committee includes several members of three national clinical lab societies: American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science - Maine Chapter (ASCLS -ME), ME/NH American Medical Technologists (AMT) and Clinical Laboratory Management Association - Maine Chapter (CLMA). We encourage you to click on the links below and visit these lab societies' websites to see which society serves the needs of the clinical laboratorian most important to you!
